This piece is another longtime favorite I wanted to include in the album "Portrait of Melancholy" because I really enjoy the shifting vibe of the work; it's seductive, dark, sad, angry... It's all over the place - something I can say I know from my own bouts of "melancholy." G.B. Vitali, the composer, isn't anyone who is well known outside of specialist circles today, but he wrote some beautifully hypnotic music. As always, thanks for taking the time to listen!
