'Control' is a tumbling post punk dispatch with dark, tense and moody verses that twist and turn via the band's rhythm section before heavier, ringing guitar accents launch the song into a melodic blossoming of surging chords.
Lauren Crew recalls the music that was inhabiting her creative headspace at the time. "I was on a Patti Smith and Joy Division bender when I wrote this song and both artists definitely influenced aspects of the arrangement and melodies."
