FOR FANS OF: Wilco, Girls, Silver Jews, Teenage Fanclub
Much of the first album was melancholic and confessional melodic folk music. As they display on this new single, they've added a melodically-rich power pop angle to their sound, placing them as sonic contemporaries of bands such as Wilco and Teenage Fanclub.
The combination of the band's simpatico musicality and Beavis's melodically yearning vocal masterfully conveys the song's sense of both heartache and a heartwarming outcome.
