This Largo by Antonio Vivaldi has been one of my personal favorites for over 20 years, ever since my first viol teacher played it for me. Contemplative, plaintive, and bittersweet at times, this understated work is an example of Vivaldi at his finest - and I'm lucky it fits so well on a viol!
