Strictly Instrumental has influence from Surf Music, Space and Spy Guitar, Spaghetti Western, with a dash of garage rock.
Joanatan’s Strictly Instrumental draws from the greats of the early 60’s and brings a sentimental memories of western movies, 007, B movies, Tex comics, The Phantom and the music of names like, Link Wray, The Tornados and other recordings of Joe Meek, The Cousins, Betinho and Seu Conjunto, The Jordans, The Jokers, Ennio Morricone, Hugo Montenegro, and of course, Dick Dale, The Shadows and The Ventures!
One of the tracks has as special guest, Romir, drummer of the legendary brazilian 60’s surf rock band, The Angels (later The Youngsters). Most of the tracks were recorded the old fashioned way, live in the studio.
