Tristan Courtney-Prior
Elevator
Listen
Out of the opening sound of sonic scree and digital detritus comes the first tumbling, tension-laden solo dispatch from Tristan Courtney-Prior, also of Sydney bands Peabody and Shearin'.
On Elevator, Tristan dives deeper into dark post-punk guitar rock. The kind of place where Sonic Youth honed their craft at the finely-balanced point between the mainstream and the slipstream and where Interpol decontextualised the rhythms and atmosphere of Joy Division.
Debut album coming in 2023.
